John McPate - Chairman and Non-executive Director

John McPate brings over 25 years experience in both the electronics and securities industries to the role of non executive director.

John is currently head of Technology, Media and Telecoms equity research at Evolution Group following terms as an Executive Director at JPMorgan and as a VP at Citi Group.

Prior to taking up a career in financial services, John was Sales and Marketing Director at Wolfson Microelectronics Ltd from 1988 until 1999. While there he was responsible for establishing Wolfson’s Audio and Imaging product strategies and setting up distribution networks in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Singapore, China, US and Europe.

John graduated with a B.Sc. in electronics and electrical engineering from The University of Glasgow.

Nick Weiner - CEO

Nick Weiner brings more than 25 years of technical and commercial experience in mixed analog, digital and high-speed integrated circuits.

In 2001 Nick co-founded Phyworks, where he was CTO. His experience also includes design and management roles with Microcosm, Motorola and Wolfson Microelectronics.

At Phyworks Nick led the development of their 10 Gigabit per second equalizing receiver. Prior to Phyworks Nick was Director of Engineering for Microcosm (acquired by Conexant in 2000) and he established a new mixed analog/digital IC design department for Motorola Semiconductors in Singapore.

Nick received a B.Sc. from London University and M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley. He was editor of the IEEE's 10GBASE-LRM Ethernet standard.

Juliet Silvester - Director of Finance

Juliet Silvester joined Xintronix in January 2010 as Director of Finance and Company Secretary.

She has considerable experience of working for technology companies including a number of start-ups and most recently six years at Apertio Limited. Apertio was established in 2002 and over the next five years rapidly grew to become a leading global provider of mobile network infrastructure software. It was sold to Nokia Siemens Networks in February 2008 for $240 million. As financial controller, Juliet was instrumental in managing this growth, its sale and the subsequent integration to Nokia Siemens Networks.

Juliet is a chartered accountant and began her career with Ernst and Young. She has a BSC in Economics and Accountancy from City University.
